About the Author

Laura Tyson Li

Laura Tyson Li spent over a decade living in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan and researching her acclaimed book, Madame Chiang Kai-shek: China’s Eternal First Lady (Grove Press, 2007). Her research drew on access to previously classified diplomatic files. A former international business reporter, she has written for The Economist, The Financial Times, The South China Morning Post and many other world-class publications. Laura lives in California with her husband and 2 children.
